VEX Robotics — Push Back

VEX Push Back is played on a 12×12 ft field with 88 blocks and four goals — two Long Goals and two Center Goals — where each scored block is worth three points and matches open with a fifteen-second autonomous period. The season demanded a robot that could collect and score blocks quickly and repeatedly; ours uses a custom intake mechanism built for exactly that.

Overview

Push Back is the 2025–26 VEX Robotics Competition game: two alliances of two teams each compete on a 12×12 foot field scattered with 88 blocks, scoring them into two Long Goals and two Center Goals for three points apiece. Matches open with a fifteen-second autonomous period, then move into a fast, back-and-forth driver-controlled period where teams work to control goals and clear loaders.

Our robot was built to collect and score blocks quickly and repeatedly, using a custom intake mechanism designed for the pace the game demands.
